Weir Centennial CelebrationTwo of my sons and my
daughter-in-law live in Weir. This is a small town (slightly over 500
residents) outside of Georgetown, Texas. Saturday was their 100 year
celebration. They had a parade, Historical Marker dedication, crafts,
reenactment of a bank robbery, BBQ and street dance. My son asked if I could
bring my car out to be in the parade. I was in back of the Rodeo clown and
in front of the John Deere tractor. Prime spot! I got a butterfly to ride on
my door for part of the parade. The announcer said this was the first
Lamborghini that had ever been in Weir. I parked outside the local store and
took pictures of kids (big and small) to fulfill some fantasies. Everyone
really liked the car. 4/26/2003 |
